![]() Imagine planning a trip to visit your friend in New York. Everything goes as planned, and you arrive safely at JFK airport. After you pick up your luggage, you make your way to the taxi stand. You’re excited, because you haven’t seen your friend in years. Stepping into the taxi, the cabbie asks you, “Where to?” Your reply, “New York City.” What are the odds that you will arrive at your friend’s house? ![]() If you are not specific with your goals/targets, the likelihood that you will achieve them diminishes significantly. Common sense, right? You would be amazed at the number of times I ask my clients, “What do you want?” – and the first answer from their mouths is, “I don’t know.” The goal-setting portion of the coaching relationship is taken very seriously. Starting with a questionnaire that assesses your life satisfaction in a number of key areas, we work together to hone in on what you want to achieve most in the short- or long-term. Once we have the goal established, we identify a number of indicators that will let you know when you have arrived at the target. Once this is established, you are ready to go! |
